From a Banking Accelerator Concept to a $500,000 Funded Startup
NDA NOTICE: To strictly comply with confidentiality agreements regarding this accelerator-backed venture, all brand names and specific financial institution identifiers have been redacted. This study focuses on the Product Development and UX Architecture of the ecosystem.

The Challenge: Building a Two-Sided Market from Scratch
The project originated as a raw concept within a prestigious Major Turkish Bank's Accelerator Program. The core challenge was to solve the massive inefficiency in urban waste management by connecting generators with collectors in real-time.
The Achievement: Out of 8 elite teams in the program, this venture was one of only two to secure a $500,000 seed investment immediately upon launch.
My Role: I led the Product Development and UX Strategy, transforming a social problem into a functional, scalable, and investment-ready digital ecosystem.
Humanity-Centered Research: The Social Dimension
Innovation often happens on the streets, not just in the lab.
Field Insights: Our research included deep-dive interviews with Micro Waste Collectors, often disadvantaged individuals working in harsh urban conditions.
Discovery: We realized the platform needed a "Social Layer" to keep users engaged. This led to the design of a specialized feed featuring recycling blogs, environmental impact metrics, and a digital reward/coupon system.

The Architecture: Dual-App Ecosystem
I designed two distinct, synchronized mobile applications to close the circular economy loop:
1. Waste Generators (Households & SMEs)
Intelligent Listing: A streamlined flow for users to categorize, weigh, and list various waste types (Paper, Glass, Plastic, etc.).
Gamified Incentives: A rating and rewards system designed to drive long-term participation in recycling.

End-User App (Waste Generator)
2. Waste Collectors (Individual & Corporate)
Dynamic Routing: Designed the logic for how collectors browse active "waste ads" and optimize their routes based on location.
Operational Transparency: A data-driven dashboard for tracking collection weights (KG) and ensuring seamless delivery to recycling firms.

Outcome & Market Validation
While my role was centered on the conceptual and foundational product development, it is rewarding to see the venture’s ecosystem thrive through collective effort.
Collaborative Success: The joint effort between the innovation lab and the startup team led to a highly functional platform that remains a leader in the circular economy space.
Investment Milestone: The robust logic and user-centric architecture supported the venture in securing a cumulative $500,000 investment through a Tier-1 financial institution’s accelerator.
Industry Recognition: The platform’s sustained growth earned it the "Recycling Project of the Year" and "Most Eco-Friendly Technology" awards at prestigious national ceremonies.
Scalability in Action: The original dual-app system has successfully evolved to handle verified carbon footprint tracking and large-scale incentive programs for thousands of active users.
